NAPTIN Nigeria
The National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) was established in 2009. It is the result of the privatization and unbundling of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN), which gave birth to eleven (11) distribution companies (DisCos) and six (6) production companies (GenCos).
The National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN), which was the training arm of the former PHCN, has become a full-fledged government training institute under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Electricity (FMP). The main objective of its establishment is to provide qualified technical training, research and development, advice, onboarding for personnel in the electricity sector and to coordinate training activities in the sector.
The organization is also a member of the African Network of Electrical Centers of Excellence (ANCEE) and has been selected as one of the regional centers of excellence for training and ECOWAS renewable energy and energy efficiency certification.

L'Institut national de formation à l'énergie du Nigeria (NAPTIN) a été créé en 2009. C'est le résultat de la privatisation et du dégroupage de la Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN), qui a donné naissance à onze (11) sociétés de distribution (DisCos) et six (6) sociétés de production (GenCos).
Le National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN), qui était la branche de formation de l'ancien PHCN, est devenu un institut de formation gouvernemental à part entière sous les auspices du ministère fédéral de l'Électricité (FMP). L'objectif principal de sa création est de fournir une formation technique qualifiée, de la recherche et du développement, des conseils, de l'intégration du personnel du secteur de l'électricité et de coordonner les activités de formation dans le secteur.
L'organisation est également membre du Réseau Africain des Centres d'Excellence Electriques (ANCEE) et a été sélectionnée comme l'un des centres régionaux d'excellence pour la formation et la certification de la CEDEAO en matière d'énergie renouvelable et d'efficacité énergétique.
